Downers Grove, Illinois.And the November 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – With an in-kind donation from Instant Brands, maker of consumer favorite household products like Instant Pot®, Pyrex®, and more, First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) is concretely strengthening health-related emergency management support services for fire-affected communities Forests. FNHA is the health and wellness partner of over 200 diverse First Nations communities across the county British Columbia.

As the bushfire season continues across much of the county, the FNHA is submitting an increasing number of health-related support requests from First Nations individuals and communities impacted by worsening indoor air quality issues. So far this year, demand for air purifiers often exceeds availability. So, when Instant Brands reached FNHA with an in-kind donation, FNHA immediately mobilized thousands of brand-new air purifiers.

FNHA plans to distribute 3,600 medium-sized instant air purifiers for free across its five regions. FNHA is currently determining the best way to allocate units on the basis of need. The remaining air purifiers will be stockpiled and made available to communities as needed before next year’s wildfire season. This donation is also expected to reduce FNHA’s reliance only on lender units.
