Ben Simmons is on the cusp of getting another NBA coach, after Steve Nash was fired with the Brooklyn Nets just seven games a season.

Despite having the star power of former League Player and two-time World Cup Finalist Kevin Durant, as well as attacking star Kyrie Irving and three-time All-Star Simmons, the Nets started the 2022-23 season with a 2-5 win loss record.

They are fifth of five teams in their league, 12th of 15 in the Eastern Conference, and 25th of 30 teams across the league, prompting the Nets front office to turn things around.

“We both felt it was the right time,” general manager Sean Marks said of the decision to fire Nash after less than a tenth of the way into his third season as head coach.

Aside from the difficulties on the field, the mysterious Nets stars caused problems off the field.
