Although the Philadelphia 76ers didn’t make major changes to their roster over the holiday season, they did make a few critical moves that were met with praise.

After being eliminated in the second round of the 2022 NBA Playoffs, the Sixers cited a lack of toughness as the reason they couldn’t beat the Miami Heat.

Daryl Morey, Sixers’ head of basketball operations, listened to his star position Joel Embiid, and landed strong players in two directions to help improve the roster.

Philadelphia’s top signings at the start of the free agency became veteran striker PJ Tucker and veteran winger Danielle House Jr. While Tucker and House joined the Sixers as the gates to free agency opened, the NBA questioned whether or not there was any manipulation involved.
